Year 10 Drama Devising Discovery Platform

 

Students studying GCSE Drama took part in a series of outreach workshops ‘Devising from Scratch.’ Led by visiting artists from Doorstep Arts in collaboration with Exeter University and the Northcott Theatre.

 

Following this the students have the opportunity to perform in the Devising Discovery Platform at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter. This platform brings together students from performing arts programmes across South Devon to perform on a professional stage.

 

Students spend a Saturday in the Drama studios at the University of Exeter, where they can rehearse their piece and meet other secondary students from across Devon.

 

In the afternoon, they take over the Exeter Northcott Theatre and perform for each other. This day is fully supported by the University of Exeter Drama Department and an acclaimed group of visiting Lead Artists.
