Activities Day 2023

We are very pleased to be able to offer an Activities day on Friday 14th July 2023 as part of the Academy calendar. The normal academy timetable will be suspended for all students in years 7-9. This is an opportunity for students and staff to be able to enjoy offsite activities, develop socially and ultimately create memorable experiences.

Booking Date:

Booking will go live via ParentPay from:

Year 9 – 3.00pm on Monday 17th April and booking will end at 12.00pm on Wednesday 26th April 2023 or when all spaces have been filled. Year 9 students will have three options to choose from for the day, Woodlands, Quaywest or Beach day.

Year 8 – 3.00pm on Tuesday 18th April and booking will end at 12.00pm on Wednesday 26th April 2023 or when all spaces have been filled. Year 8 students will have two options to choose from for the day, Crealy or Paignton Zoo.

Year 7 – 3.00pm on Wednesday 19th April and booking will end at 12.00pm on Wednesday 26th April 2023. This is a free activity, but parents/carers will still need to book your child’s place and give consent.

All activities will be given on a first come first served basis and with confirmation of payment. Please only book one activity for the day. Once your place has been secured this cannot be changed unless there are exceptional circumstances. Students taking part in activities do not need to wear school uniform.

Any student who does not book an activity during the booking period above will automatically be enrolled in classroom-based activities on the school site for the day. Students will be expected to attend the Academy in full uniform. This is a school day, and we expect all students to attend.

All payments are non-refundable unless the activity is cancelled by the Academy.

Specific information about each activity will be sent out once all places have been filled and confirmed.

Behaviour Expectations:

We have very high expectations regarding the conduct and behaviour of our students both within the Academy and in the wider community. The vast majority of our students rise to these expectations and are a credit to both us and their families. Please note: Any students who receive a fixed term suspension from the 17th April 2023 (Start of summer term) onwards will only be permitted to take part in onsite classroom-based activities.

It should be noted that we may reserve the right to remove students who we feel may fail to achieve the high standards of conduct. In the unlikely event of this happening the decision will be made by the Principal of the Academy and would be a last resort. In these circumstances any monies paid will not be refunded.
