Year 10 Basketball

The Year 10 Basketball team got their first win of the year, playing their first game against Year 10 opponents, to beat St Cuthbert Mayne 48-22.

Despite a diminished squad the team was able to stay fresh with a strong rotation meaning everyone managed to get a rest in each half of the game. Our players continued to play a quick transition game throughout, which eventually wore St Cuthbert Mayne out.

 

Scoring was spread quite evenly throughout the team with Leo leading the fast breaks and the scoring, whilst Mario also scored double figures and contributed two blocked shots on the defensive side of the ball.

 

Strong performances were also given by Sam, Olly, Sol, Jack and Lewis.

 

The team continue to build on their confidence and we look forward to them making another run at the national competition next year!
