Celebrating Our Year 8 Readers

Last week, our brilliant Year 8 students participated in an eye-opening BBC workshop focused on media literacy. They explored how to spot biased reporting, distinguish real news from fake, and reflect on how past media mistakes can shape our understanding today.

Their curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork were truly inspiring — proving that they’re not just excellent readers, but thoughtful global citizens in the making.

A huge well done to all our Year 8's for their outstanding progress and enthusiasm in reading lessons this term. We couldn’t be prouder!
