Our Year 9 students took part in our annual Careers Day — a key event designed to inspire ambition, broaden horizons and support students as they prepare to make their GCSE option choices.
We were delighted to welcome a fantastic range of guest speakers and partners who helped bring the world of work to life:
- Georgina Cleasby – Learning styles & apprenticeships
- South Devon College Adventure Sports Team and 11 current students (including several of our former Paignton Academy students!) for an energetic communication and team-building workshop
- Ewa Fojt & Peter Reeves (Next Steps South West) and 7 higher education students – Post-16 pathways, future planning & employer skills
- Richard Henderson (Henderson Health & Safety) – Careers in Construction
- Hannah Whyte (Access Creative College) – Communication skills & creative careers
- Plus our very own Mr Scott, who delivered staff CPD on AI and Careers!
It was a busy, inspiring and future‑focused day filled with learning, collaboration and new opportunities — and we can’t wait to do it all again at our Waterleat Road site!
