This term 14 students from both sites came together to complete the formal Young Interpreter Scheme®, building upon the successful course we ran last year.
During the morning, the children learnt about the ethics of interpreting, practical skills for interpreting, and how to be empathetic and effective listeners.
Some of the participants speak as many as 4 languages fluently, including those as diverse as Malayalam, Ukrainian, Panjabi, French, Nepali, Spanish, Polish, Tagalog, Romanian, Sinhala and Thai!
We are very proud of their fantastic achievement and can't wait to put their skills to good use around the school!
