Our year 11 Engineers put the finishing touches to their practical work, and were notably impressed with what they had achieved. Covering a wide range of skills the students produced an example of automata, experimenting with mechanisms and some precise measurement:

A beautifully crafted rose made from steel, which they shaped and formed with the steel at red heat, as they developed hand forging skills.

A hand held maze game using high temperature aluminium casting techniques.

A tea light holder made as a result of following an engineering drawing and applying workshop techniques.

Some of the students work is exceptionally well made and finished.

Wishing them all great success in their futures; some are going on to South Devon College to continue with their Engineering Studies.
