Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

Over the weekend, fifteen Year 10 students completed their Bronze DofE practice expedition in sweltering conditions. The students had to plan and navigate a route taking in the lanes, footpaths and coastal path of South Devon. They had to carry all of their own equipment such as tents, stoves, food and water and ensure they did all of this without any outside help. The students were a credit to the Academy with members of the public commenting on how mature and confident they thought the students were. They can now look forward to their assessed expedition on Dartmoor in September.
