The U14 girls’ netball team smiled their way through a tough day of back to back matches. They lost their first two matches against Newton Abbot College (9-1) and Torquay Girls’ Grammar (14-3), but found their confidence against Churston, coming away with an 11-1 win.  They put on a great performance against St Cuthbert Mayne, winning 12-1. Unfortunately, they then took on a very tall Teignmouth side who were well drilled and who went on to win 9-7.

The girls were absolutely outstanding today and were a great credit to themselves, their Heads of Year and the Academy. Two of the girls, Holly Hutchins and Aimee Cutland, had the opportunity to do a bit of umpiring too!

Every student did their own job, supported one another and was highly committed, making it impossible for me to choose an individual player of the tournament. I am a very proud coach and teacher.
