Paralympic Athlete Visits Academy
David Hill is a renowned paralympic athlete who has represented Great Britain in swimming and, more recently, in triathlon at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
David is a World and European medallist, British Champion and was Team GB’s youngest athlete at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.
David spent the day working with five talented sports leaders, as part of a new project at the Academy. The project will use physical activity as a way to improve the confidence, self-esteem and activity levels of students at the Academy.
Mr Julyan is very excited about the project. “We’ve known for a long time that physical activity can be a fun way to help to relieve stress and also develop leadership and social skills. We are convinced that this project will have a really positive impact on our students.”
