After completing the first round of the Young Chef of the Year competition, which is run by Rotary, three winning students progressed to the next round. This was held at South Devon College in November 2018 and the three finalists were:

Freya Ward
Tom Howard
Will Symons

The three chefs were up against stiff competition from other schools in the Bay but we were very proud of how they performed in the competition; they were an asset to our Academy.

Paignton Rotary presented the three students with chefs’ whites, which they will be able to wear in their Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons.
