Girls Under 13s South Devon Rugby Festival

The Girls U13’s Rugby Squad attended the South Devon Rugby Festival at Teign School hosted by Gary Kingdom and the RFU. The girls did so well and were great representatives of the Academy; they showed good character, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship to each other, the referees and their opposition. Even though in this festival there was no further progression for the U13s they stormed their way through the group winning 3 out of 5 games with the losses being really close. There was individual brilliance and fantastic teamwork leading to some great tries and phases in defence.

Dawlish 1 – 5 PCSA

PCSA 0 – 1 Teignmouth

Teign 1 – 4 PCSA

PCSA 5 – 3 Newton Abbot

Kingsbridge 4 – 1 PCSA

Player of the Tournament was Sylvia Tippett – she was apprehensive when we were warming up but when she came on she was unbelievable, making many tackles, tracking defence and scoring four tries. After that it was hard to get her off the pitch!
