Staff and students are celebrating real successes under the new GCSE framework. Under the government’s new progress measures, students have again achieved well, above expected progress.   Early indication of the Academy’s progress is very positive. In particular the Academy is delighted with its high performing students.

Significant successes include, Michaela Woodbridge (10A*/A Grades), Annabelle Cairns (5A*/A and 4B Grades), both of these girls achieved grade 9s in English and Maths which puts them in the top 2% of the country.  Other high performing students include Lin Wen (7A*/A and 2B Grades), Luke Washbrook (4A*/A and 4B Grades), Jess Smith (6A*/A and 4B Grades), Josh Smith (5A*/A and 3B Grades) Imogen Plumbridge (7A*/A and 2B Grades) Charlie Plumbridge (5A*/A and 4B Grades), Phoebe McCaig (6A*/A Grades and 4 Bs)

Head of School, Mark Smith said “I am really pleased that we are showing a positive progress. Staff and students have adapted extremely well to the new style GCSEs, all of their commitment, practice and revision have paid off. Progress has again improved at the Academy thanks to our dedicated team of staff – we are all proud of our students and these excellent results.”
