Our 9G1 scientists were tasked with making 3D models of the atoms. They had to choose form one of the following: lithium, carbon, oxygen, boron or helium. Their models had to include the right amount of protons, neutrons and electrons.
All models were excellent but there were four students who excelled themselves:
Olli Gagg: who baked a cake as his model.
Jess Bowkett – who was inventive and used hot glue to form her subatomic particles.
Izzy Yeoman – who used jewellery beads.
Amber Bowden – who made a model which could stand.
“I am so proud of all the standard of homework received. All pupils went above and beyond to create their interpretation of the atom,” Mrs Hughes 9G1 Science teacher.
