7BB2 make a card for Captain Tom

On the occasion of his 100th birthday, students in 7BB2 decided they would send a handmade card to Captain Tom Moore to thank him for his inspirational fund-raising efforts for the NHS.

Captain Tom, who was born on 30th April 1920, has raised over £25 million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden, as well as becoming the oldest person ever to have a UK no.1 single with his duet of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with Michael Ball. He has quickly become a national treasure.

Our year 7 Broadsands students were so inspired by the army veteran that they wanted to make something special for his birthday and we’re sure he will be as delighted by it as with his personalised telegram from Her Majesty!
