The Year 8 Rugby team continued their successful run under the watchful eye of coaches Mr Coulton and Mr Bruce.  A strong squad of twenty players took to the field against a depleted Torquay Academy side.   With muddy conditions underfoot the boys tried hard to play passing fluent rugby and spread the ball wide.

With a Man of the Match performance from Luke Berlyn, strong tackling from Louie Widdicombe and excellent support play from Jack Dorothy the TA side were on the back foot throughout the game.  The Paignton players scored ten tries with Kye Locke, Alfie Lloyd, Bobby Wigginton, Jack Worden and Ollie Woodcock among the scorers, TA managed a solo try in response.  If the Year 8 team can win their last two games in the league they will make the final, which looks like it might be against South Dartmoor.
