Students Represent Academy in the First Ever Resilience League

On Wednesday 8th November, Mr Gillard, the Academy’s School Games Coordinator delivered the first ever Resilience League.

Students who had never represented the Academy before made up the two PCSA teams who would go on to experience competitive inclusion games such as Table Cricket and Boccia.

The event could not have been possible without the fantastic efforts of the Year 9 Young Leaders who ran each of the activities with confidence.

This was a superb spectacle and one that can be celebrated from the students who took part to the young leaders who so reassuringly led each activity.

This was capped off by ex-pupil and Invictus Games gold medallist Karl Allen-Dobson officially opening the tournament. He was on hand to present each school with a certificate of achievement in keeping with the School Games core values of; determination, teamwork, honesty, self-belief, respect and passion.

Congratulations to all who took part.

From a very proud Mr Godfree
