Every form group in Years 7, 8 and 9 has been invited to take part in this year’s Operation Christmas Child. They have been tasked with getting together a box for a child in a poverty stricken or war affected place. This gift will probably be the only thing these children will get this Christmas and will be filled with items such as: toys (teddy, doll, ball, musical instrument, skipping rope), hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, flannel), stationary (pens, pencils, colours, pad, ruler, rubber), other items e.g. sweets (not chocolate), hat, gloves, scarf, cap, hair accessories, sunglasses.
Mrs Burnham’s form 8G1 have already made a great start and have been filling their boxes with goodies…
There is still time to take part – simply decide on the age and sex of the child to receive box and fill with the above items.
Just a reminder that the boxes need to be done by the end of this week and are to be handed in to the HoY office.
