Cheetahs Crowned Winners of 2017 Sports Day

After an action packed week leading up to the finals day, students across years 7, 8, 9 and 10 had the opportunity to participate in events ranging from shot put to the 1500metres. 2017’s event saw 10 different sports on offer including 6 track and 4 field events and the introduction of hurdles and competitive high jump.

Those who qualified for the finals day showed tremendous effort, enthusiasm and ability across all sporting events.  The morning saw KS3 and 4 students battle it out to see who would represent their house in front of the school during the afternoon final races.

It was a fantastic spectacle to see so many students enjoying a full day of top sporting activities wearing their team colours. The overall winners were:

1st: Cheetah – 211 points

2nd: Flamingo – 215 points

3rd: Meerkat – 232 points

4th: Kangaroo – 233 points
